Home / Desktop Apps
Desktop apps for Windows and macOS, small, fast, and native.
Some tools belong on the desktop: heavy workflows, offline work, deep access to files and hardware. We build fast, lightweight Windows and macOS apps with Tauri, small and secure binaries that feel native on every machine, for ambitious businesses across India and beyond.
Typical stack
First, do you need a desktop app, or a web app?
Most software should live in the browser, and a partner worth hiring will tell you that. A web app needs no install, updates instantly, and runs anywhere. For the majority of tools, that's the right call.
A desktop app earns its place when the browser gets in the way: heavy local processing, real offline use, deep access to the file system or hardware, an always-on tray tool, or work that simply has to keep running when the internet doesn't.
When you do build for the desktop, how matters. We use Tauri, which pairs a web-based interface with a small, fast native core, so you get installers measured in megabytes and low memory use, instead of the heavy footprint older frameworks are known for. One codebase covers both Windows and macOS.
A web app is enough when…
- It runs fine in a browser tab
- Instant updates and zero install matter
- Users are always online
Build desktop when…
- You need offline, files, or hardware access
- Heavy local processing is involved
- It's an always-on tool people keep open
What we build
From an internal utility to a customer-facing product, we scope, design, and ship desktop software that feels native and stays out of the way.
Windows & macOS
One codebase, both platforms. A single desktop app that installs and runs natively on Windows and Mac.
Small & lightweight
Built with Tauri, so installers are a few megabytes and memory use stays low, not the bloat of heavier frameworks.
Works offline
Local-first where it matters: your app keeps working without a connection and syncs when it's back.
Auto-updates
Ship improvements and push updates to every user automatically, so everyone stays on the latest version.
Secure & signed
Code-signed builds, a tight security model, and safe local storage, so users trust the install.
Deep OS access
The file system, hardware, background tasks, tray, and shortcuts, everything a real desktop tool needs.
How a desktop app project runs
- 1
Discovery & scope
We map the users, the core workflow, and the platform needs, then define a clear scope and a fixed, transparent proposal (within 24 hours).
- 2
Design & engineer
We design the interface and architecture, then build in tight iterations with installable test builds for Windows and Mac along the way.
- 3
Package & support
We produce signed installers, set up auto-updates, hand over cleanly with documentation, and support the roadmap as you grow.
Common questions
Why Tauri instead of Electron?
Tauri uses the operating system's own web engine and a lightweight native core, so apps are dramatically smaller and lighter on memory than the Electron approach, while still sharing one codebase across Windows and macOS. If a project genuinely needs something else, we'll say so.
Can one app run on both Windows and Mac?
Yes. We build from a single codebase and produce native installers for both, so you don't pay to build the same tool twice.
How much does a desktop app cost?
Every build is different, so we don't quote a fixed package. We scope your project and send a fixed, transparent proposal within 24 hours, no hidden fees.
Do we own the code?
Yes. You own what we build, with an NDA on request, and we hand over clean, documented code so you're never locked in.
Have a desktop tool in mind?
Tell us what you're building. We'll scope it and come back with a fixed, transparent proposal within 24 hours.
